A Training Package describes the skills and knowledge needed to perform effectively in the workplace. They do not prescribe how an individual should be trained. Trainers at Recognition First have developed learning strategies in consultation with your employer which will best suit your circumstances.
In the Vocational Education Sector qualifications are awarded for the achievement of competencies. The Sector defines "competency" as the possesion and application of both knowledge and skills to defined standards, expressed as outcomes that correspond to relevant workplace requirements and other vocational needs.
As our name suggests we start the training and assessment process with an initial assessment of the student's current skills and knowledge. This process of "recognition" allows us to build upon what is already known by the student and ensures the relevance of the work subsequently provided.
Training is about gathering knowledge and then practising the skills until we are "competent".
Recognition First's commitment to "Individual Training" recognises the uniqueness of learners. I tsupports the idea that not all students have similar backgrounds so we aim to meet individual needs and provide individual training plans and learner pathways.
Individual training accommodates personal training backgrounds and values the uniqueness of the participant.
